It was early 2008 and I had just left my job as a Cost Accountant. I was frustrated and didn't plan this career change, but was ready for something different.
I'd been making websites for a few years and decided to start freelancing. I got a couple of clients early on and that was enough validation for me to stay on this path.
In 2009 I started Knewedge and opened a small office. Towards the end of 2010 my first little boy was born and after struggling as freelancer for a couple of years I decided I needed a real job again. I wrapped up a contract with State Farm and a few months later I started working as the Web Producer for the Pantagraph.
Randomly I got a phone call one day for a new job opportunity. It's 2011 now and the newspaper industry is obviously hurting. So, I decided to make the jump and started working at CEFCU as their Web Administrator.
I've now been creating websites for 10 years, and been involved with online marketing and web analytics for 5 years.
Also, my family has now expanded to two little boys and a crazy dog. And, a move to Washington, IL.
